Denim is a classic in trend that we always have available in our wardrobe, however its origin and production began in the south of France during the nineteenth century.

The first city to use this unique textile was Nimes, hence the name denim. The first to use denim were the workers in the mines, the most important and iconic model that was made overall in indigo blue. 

A sturdy suit was needed during the long working hours and that would withstand the different weather conditions. The overall had pockets on the sides and was used with the famous mining boots, this model began to become popular during the time and became a cultural reference of the working classes. 

During the twentieth century the entrepreneur Levi Strauss managed to make the world fall in love with the most revolutionary garment in the history of fashion: denim jeans. Levi Strauss had a retail company selling materials for miners, however he made the first denim jeans with rivets and pockets for daily use for miners and cowboys became a working tool. 

Denim jeans began to become popular during the 50s thanks to the icons of that time such as James Dean, Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. During the 70s and 80s denim jeans became one of the most used garments in collections by designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Tommy Hilfiger and Kenzo. 



It's official! During the 90s and 00s the production of denim jeans reached many countries in Europe and Latin America, becoming the identity of thousands of people and is a garment that we all love. Currently denim jeans have been reinvented and now we can find them in different styles such as the denim jumpsuit, skinny, wide leg, mom's jeans and high waist. 


What is a denim jumpsuit?

Denim jumpsuit is a garment that has always been in the best collections and fashion catwalks of designers such as Hugo Boss, Ellie Saab, Carolina Herrera and Marc Jacobs. It is essential to have one to give a twist to our style, also if you have a fashion emergency the denim jumpsuit will always be available so that you have a different and chic outfit. 



One of the reasons why denim jumpsuits are one of the favorite garments of many women is that stylizes the silhouette and can be worn at any age. Before the denim jumpsuit was its predecessor the famous linen jumpsuit, this emerged during the 20s used by paratroopers of the armed forces, the model was created by the designer Elsa Schiaparelli in conjunction with the artist Ernesto Michahelles.

Then it had a great boom during the 70s when Farrah Fawcett and the model Grace Jones used it frequently in events such as awards ceremonies capturing the eyes of the whole public. Over the years the jumpsuit became an icon of high fashion and had many changes, one of the most important is the adaptation of denim becoming trendy denim jumpsuits. 

Denim jumpsuit is a one piece garment and has long trousers, it can be found in different styles for example, with long sleeves, suspenders, strapless, with prints and pockets. You can also find it in different shades of blue, from indigo, to electric blue and navy.
