Vatulele: Timeless swimwear with a free spirit
Vatulele is a fashion brand that was born in Colombia 10 years ago with the purpose of offering a line of men's swim shorts with a unique and timeless touch. Leidy Quintero and Catalina Clavijo are the minds behind Vatulele.
Leidy graduated as a fashion designer and Catalina as a designer with an emphasis in product and communication. Together, they decided to join forces to create a brand of men's swim shorts that would stand out from the existing brands in Colombia.
Vatulele represents adventure and fun
Vatulele takes its name from an island in Fiji, a magical and exotic place that evokes adventure and freedom. Vatulele seeks to capture the essence of tropical beauty and the joy of beach life in each of her designs. The philosophy behind Vatulele is that fashion can be a means to connect with nature.
Leidy and Catalina had to face different challenges when starting their brand, from administration to legal and accounting issues. However, thanks to their dedication and care, they managed to overcome all obstacles and create a proactive, ethical and enthusiastic firm.
The power of women in Vatulele
The workshop where Vatulele garments are made is made up of women heads of household, providing them with a source of fair income and empowerment. In addition, it stands out for using high-quality and durable materials, with colors that remain intact over time and fabrics that do not lose structure. The "Semana Santa" collection is currently under development, which will be launched in March 2023.
Vatulele: cheerful designs for the whole family.
Vatulele's collection includes shorts for boys and men, as well as sarongs and swimwear for women and girls.
