He has taken inspiration from the iconic Barbie doll's wardrobe, as well as from the 1980s and 1990s.

Here are some of the best outfits of Margot Robbie inspired by Barbie of the most anticipated film of the year!

The Original Barbie (1959)

Enchanted Evening Barbie (1960)

Ms Robbie wore this Vivienne Westwood gown to the European premiere of Barbie in London. The gown is inspired by the 1960 Enchanted Evening Barbie, which features a strapless white gown with a pink tulle overlay and a pearl necklace. Robbie's gown also has a train that resembles the one on the doll's outfit.

Solo in the Spotlight Barbie (1960)

Sparkling Barbie (1964)

Ms Robbie wore this custom bedazzled outfit to a press conference in Seoul, South Korea. The outfit is inspired by the 1964 Sparkling Pink Barbie, which features a pink cropped jacket, one-shouldered bra top, and miniskirt. Robbie's outfit also has a matching pillbox hat, a lovely outfit for the occasion.

Day to Night Barbie (1985)

Arriving as Day to Night Barbie from 1985, Margot Robbie was dressed head to toe in a shocking pink business-or-leisure suit from Versace before swapping into a glamorous evening number.

Totally Hair Barbie (1992)

At a photocall in México, Robbie channeled the Totally Hair Barbie and yes, you guessed it, there was a lot of hair. Complete with a stained glass-esque minidress from Emilio Pucci, Chanel earrings, pink shoes and a cascade of crimped blond locks, Ms Robbie turned it out.

Pink and Fabulous Barbie (2015)

Robbie wore this Valentino minidress to the Los Angeles premiere of Barbie. The dress is inspired by the 2015 Pink & Fabulous Barbie, which features a pink halter dress with a white collar and cuffs. Robbie's dress also has a pink heart-shaped bag and pink pumps.
